Almost a Year

An early view of The Derby Farm homestead

Sitting on a three acre parcel, was a fixer upper manufactured home, a garage with a loft, a tool/garden shed, and a run down storage shed filled with yellow jackets. But, I knew it would be ours! We had no idea at that time what we would do with three acres. But now, almost a year later, we have a working sheep farm. (OK, so we only have a flock of 9 sheep, but it works for me!)  And, I love it!
The history of what we went through to finally get the property will come in a later blog, as well as various musings on being a farmer. Right now, I feel the need to get this blog started as we head into our first lambing season on The Derby Farm.
